As a cinematographer and animator, my work is driven by a passion for visual storytelling and a commitment to crafting immersive, meaningful narratives. With a background in film production and animation, I have developed a distinctive approach that blends traditional techniques with modern digital tools, always aiming to push the boundaries of what is possible in visual media.

My journey began with a deep fascination for the power of images to convey emotion and story. This led me to pursue multiple degrees, beginning with a BA in Film and Media, followed by an MA in Communications with a concentration on Film Production. Building upon these foundations, I earned an MFA in Digital Filmmaking, where I honed my technical skills in digital cinematography and animation while exploring the theoretical foundations that inform my work. My proficiency spans live-action cinematography, stop-motion animation, and post-production.

As the founder of Cardboard City Shorts, I am dedicated to sustainable filmmaking practices, incorporating recyclable materials into stop-motion animation. My latest project, 'atrahasis', delves into themes of water pollution and global warming. This film, supported by a grant from Idea Capital Atlanta, is now entering the festival circuit, showcasing my commitment to using animation as a medium for social commentary.

Beyond my creative endeavors, my research interests focus on the intersection of traditional and digital animation techniques, as well as the evolving role of cinematography in hybrid media formats. I am passionate about bridging the gap between tactile, handmade artistry and the limitless possibilities of digital tools, ensuring that my work remains innovative and impactful. Whether through the lens of a camera or the meticulous movement of an animated frame, my goal remains the same: to bring stories to life in a way that is both visually stunning and emotionally powerful.
