2023

As the Creative Lead for the 2023 Georgia State University Student Film Festival, I was tasked with developing and executing a complete visual identity and promotional strategy for the event within a tight two-month timeline. This included branding, social media content, motion graphics, merchandise, and both digital and physical media to generate buzz among students and the general public.

I designed and launched a multi-platform social media campaign that emphasized engagement, community, and storytelling. Highlights included a countdown series with animated reels, interactive Instagram stories featuring trivia and behind-the-scenes content, a branded scavenger hunt across campus, and promotional spotlights on both filmmakers and our Atlanta-based sponsors. I also oversaw the creation of event merchandise, posters, and signage, ensuring consistent branding across all touch points.

The campaign played a critical role in selling out the historic Plaza Theatre, a major milestone, as the venue had not reached capacity in the previous three years. The success of this campaign established a new promotional blueprint, which has since been adopted as the standard for all subsequent GSU Film Festival marketing efforts.

atrahasis

2024

To secure funding for my MFA thesis film Atrahasis, I developed a comprehensive early-stage brand strategy and grant proposal that resulted in the project receiving an Idea Capital Atlanta grant. I crafted a compelling narrative that highlighted the film’s environmental themes and unique stop-motion aesthetic, supported by early concept art and a clear artistic direction.

Post-grant, I led the promotional campaign for the film’s public launch and festival circuit, creating trailers, social media content, and behind-the-scenes materials tailored to engage environmentally conscious and art-focused audiences. The campaign emphasized the film’s sustainable production practices, with assets deployed across Instagram, my professional website, and direct outreach to film organizations.

This strategy contributed to Atrahasis being named a semifinalist at the Black and Brown Femme Film Festival and selected for screening at the Inheritance Film Festival in Belfast. The project’s success reflects my ability to build visibility for independent work through intentional branding, storytelling, and design across both digital and live platforms.

princestachat

2016-2021

From 2016 to 2021, I served as the Social Media and Community Manager for Princestachat, an online fan platform dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Prince. During this time, I helped evolve the collective into a thriving, inclusive hub for Prince fans around the world.

I built and managed the platform’s entire digital presence, including creating the visual branding for the website and all social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook). I developed a distinct and engaging voice for the platform, crafted custom visual content, and launched creative campaigns that drove interaction and community-building.

My responsibilities included managing and scheduling content, writing captions, editing graphics, curating archival material, and producing timely posts aligned with cultural moments and anniversaries. I also organized a range of community-based activities, including fan meetups (virtual and in-person), online book clubs focused on Prince-related literature, and interactive challenges that encouraged creative fan contributions.

One of my most impactful contributions was spearheading a series of branded giveaway campaigns in partnership with notable Prince collaborators and media outlets. Princestachat was selected to receive and distribute exclusive merchandise from Rolling Stone Germany and Prince’s longtime bassist BrownMark, helping promote their related projects through our platform. These partnerships were a direct result of the community engagement and trust built under my social media leadership.

Throughout my tenure, I ensured the platform maintained a consistent, visually compelling identity while remaining grounded in a love for Prince’s work and a commitment to honoring his cultural impact. My work helped position Princestachat as a respected presence within the Prince fan ecosystem, creating lasting visibility and engagement across multiple channels.

BLKTAPE Customs

2022-2025

From 2022 to 2025, I created branded video content, logos, and digital assets for BLKTAPE Customs, a local screen printing shop. I managed their social media accounts and marketing campaigns, developed and scheduled posts, and maintained their website to ensure brand consistency and customer engagement across all platforms.

green goo

2022

In 2022, I served as the Director of Photography for a commercial promoting Green Goo’s natural toothpaste line. Collaborating closely with the brand and the director, I helped develop a concept that authentically reflected Green Goo’s mission and values. I led the production from visual planning to execution, ensuring the final promo captured the clean, holistic aesthetic of the brand while delivering an engaging and effective marketing piece.
